I was able to experience West Coast life for a few days on a work conference trip. I attended a social media and online marketing conference in San Francisco, California. Now there were hundreds of marketing and Public Relations (PR) people there - it was awesome and gave me a chance to compare how the East vs. West would stack up in social media.

Is Social Media here to stay?
I just returned from a national eXtension conference in Austin Texas. And yes, even Extension staff are embracing the new communication tools of social media. Conference attendees included Extension specialists, agents, program leaders, IT staff and Ph.D. professors learning about this new conversation taking place.
