Making your holiday GREEN
The Douglass Institute (GRDI) of WV State University is giving this holiday season. GRDI along with other departments and divisions on campus are giving life to the earth this holiday season. The Institute is joining with the University and the Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority in creating a campus wide recycling program.
The Solid Waste Authority has given GRDI a recycling bin that will be located in Curtis Complex building 500. There is also a volunteer that will be picking up the recycle bin for emptying on a weekly or as needed basis. So we need to FILL IT UP!
We are beginning with a paper only recycling program.
The only accepted items in the recycling container: Not accepted:
office paper paper towels
newspapers napkins
magazines tissues
catalogs soiled paper
books food wrappers
The program will of course continue on past the holidays. Recycling is something that should be done everyday, not just on special occasions. GRDI and WV State University want to make this a long-term successful program and make our earth a little cleaner and safer for future generations. Share with your staff, your friends, and your office neighbor. Urge them to recycle too!
Join us in giving the earth a gift of recycling this holiday season!
