Tune in to Extension Matters on TV in July

I wanted to draw some attention to our upcoming Extension Matters TV show.  The show is a very timely and important one - it talks about conserving gas in daily driving, adult education, and about social media and blogging. Hot topics on everyone’s mind right now.

The episode starts airing next Wednesday on Channel 17 on Suddenlink Cable.  I was lucky enough to shoot the opening “hypermiling” footage and was able to appear as a guest later on the show.  Extension Matters runs ½ hour long and this episode is actually not too bad.

On location with Extension Matters

This is a first in a new blog series for the Douglass Institute.  "On location with Extension Matters" will be a monthly series giving our readers a preview of the upcoming television show episode.

We just wrapped up filming for the next episode of Extension Matters the television show.  It was a beautiful crisp and cool sunny day, perfect for shooting video.  The show keeps getting better and better.  This next show is no different.  It is featuring the new concept of "HyperMiling".

Food entrepreneurs from across the state will converge at the State Fair of West Virginia on Sunday, August 10, for the third annual West Virginia Recipe Challenge. Entrants will compete for over $10,000 in goods and services and a chance to have their product launched in the marketplace.

Is there a need for more “speciality” food markets in West Virginia?
